How to get there

Small East Cyclades are connected with Piraeus port all year. The trip lasts about 8 hours. Daily transports in the summer twice a week in winter. Koufonisia through line Milos - Folegandros - Ios - Thira - Koufonisi - Amorgos and line Paros - Naxos - Iraklia - Schoinoussa - Koufonisia - Katapola, are connected with the above islands. 
There is also a regular connection with Naxos island.

Getting Around

There are no turnpikes in the island, so cars and motorcycles are not necessary.

Furthermore, distances on the island can be covered on foot, by small boats that make frequent runs to the beaches and by bicycles that are rent here. The cost of hiring a small boat to go to Kato Koufonisi is reasonable. 
Apart from this, sometimes the hospitable residents of the island are willing to transfer you to the distant beaches of Koufonisia.
